Born about three decades ago in a small town of Fort Portal , I have two very nice sisters and two very nice brothers. I grew up in a small village of Rwengoma which is just on the outskirts of Fort Portal town. Perhaps my ambitions to become an electrical engineer were not shattered but rather redirected to becoming a mathematician. On a foundation built by a few people like, Mr. Bunduuka Derek, I am trying to work myself up the mathematics ranks. There is no doubt math is the most enjoyable subject. Despite all the satisfaction you get when you solve maths problems, the sweetest part of my life till now was being an altar boy at Virika cathedral. I would go back in life for that.
Playing forms a very important part of my life. I like joking, punning and laughing a lot. Had I been a professional sportsman, I would have been a footballer (not American football please!). Yes, I like dancing too. I still hope I will sing in some choir, a church choir.
The youngest I remember being caned by my dad was when I was refusing to go to school. I was then attending nursery. The largest part of my primary school was at Kahinju Primary School which was just a good stone throw away from home. We used to commute to school on foot. We would also return home for lunch but I remember missing a few lunch meals at home because I had to stay at school to play football during the lunch break. The lunch break interclass matches were very interesting and competitive. I was well known for the ‘flying double jack’ (ask me if you don’t know it).
I finally concluded my Primary School at Buhinga Primary School, right at the heart of Fort Portal town. I now had the chance to spend most of my evenings playing at a health centre, mostly board games and table tennis, before I could retire home late in the evenings.
